FILM OFFICER JOB VACANCY
West London Film Office have a vacancy for a film officer. The post is for 4 days (28 hours) per week.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in film locations work or a related area, interpreting film and photography briefs and working to tight deadlines. We’d like to see a pro-active commercial mindset, good negotiation skills, strong multitasking and organisation skills as well as a creative problem-solving ability.
The role requires an understanding of what makes a film or photography location work from a visual perspective as well as in practical and health and safety terms. An understanding of parking restrictions and highways management is desirable.
The job works across several local government departments and external organisations. It involves communicating with members of the public in writing, on the phone and sometimes face to face. People skills are essential. We need someone who is collaborative, persuasive and determined so they can bring together different people quickly to deliver successful shoots as well as find new locations for our website.
Some photography skills would be an asset, as would knowledge of generating basic digital aerial plans of an area with text and markings.
The candidate should also have a full clean driving licence since visiting locations for recces is an integral part of the job.
The job is a mix of working from home, use of the office in central Ealing and recces at locations across the borough.
This position will pay £171/day plus a holiday allowance.
